A.P.F :Revised and FinishThere she sat all alone with an ashtray trying to put herself back together and pull back together the pieces of her life which had shattered just like her heart. The ashes from the burning picture fell toward the ground where they made a simmering noise in the snow. She took one more drag of her cigarette drawing it in deeply and letting it set into her lungs. To exhale was to give in because she felt like she was drowning in her own sorrows and the only way to relieve the pain was to just stop breathing. The Unreal HusbandShe doesn’t know the man she has married anymore. His slender six-foot body with his long dangling arms and skinny legs with his awkward large feet are outlined in the dark doorway. He smells of liquor and drugs again, the things she hates the most. Like always she tends to his needs and gets up from the couch to catch his body from falling because of his drunken stupor.
